Tell us about you:

Hello! We’re YellowDog, an award-winning design, print, and marketing studio based in Denver, Colorado.

When you work with YellowDog, you support a business that is local, small, dog-friendly, environmentally-certified, woman-owned and community-oriented.

Beyond print, we’re a full-service design and branding studio. We help you grow connections through creative touchpoints.

Not sure if we do it? We probably do! Say hello and tell us your big idea.

Share a story of your organization’s engagement in the arts:

We’ve served the arts community since we opened our doors in 2005. Our local clients have been all and any of the following:

  • Individual artists looking for fine art prints
  • Arts-supporting nonprofits looking for fundraising materials
  • Major arts institutions looking for large-format print installations, etc.

We derive purpose (and a whole lot of fun!) from helping others bring their creative vision to life.

Some of these client relationships have been so long and fruitful that we have become sponsors of their artistic endeavors. That’s one way we love to support the arts community — through small sponsorships that usually take the form of in-kind donations of print materials. We like to think our ourselves as more than just a print vendor; we’re a loyal print and creative partner who is there to contribute however we can.

But it’s not just our clients who are creative and artistic. Our staff is too! Creativity is right up there with Community and Curiosity as one of our three core values, and everyone here really lives it out. A few highlights?

  • One of our Account Manangers, Michaela Murray, is also a performer and instructor with Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
  • Thea Hunt, our Admin Assistant, was recently featured as a demonstrating artist by the Denver Art Museum.
  • Our Office Manager, Sara-Lou Klein, exhibits her fine art at Edge Gallery.
  • Vera Benschop, our Print Production Manager, is an indie book and zine maker.
How have arts and/or creativity helped your company innovate or grow your impact in the community?

Over the years, we’ve become the go-to Denver print provider for local artists, arts nonprofits, and art institutions. These partnerships have created great opportunities for collaboration and contribution to the community.

One example is Denver’s thriving immersive art experiences scene. We’ve had the pleasure of collaborating on high-profile productions like Theater of the Mind, playing our own small print-graphics part in bringing this high-profile production to fruition here in Denver.

Another example is our spotlighting of local artist clients on our Pawprint Chats blog, in a series called Artists We Love. This series is a fun project to highlight our talented clients and help showcase their artistic work.

Why are you involved with CBCA?

Cynthia Ord, Marketing Manager at YellowDog

We joined CBCA to find and connect with similarly-oriented clients and partners in the Colorado business and arts community. Also, the ArtsConnect program is wonderful and we’re happy to list access to arts events as a perk/benefit on our job listings. It really attracts the right kind of candidates for our team!
