Recent efforts to advocate for arts, culture and creative industries at Colorado’s General Assembly have been the most successful in over a decade. Now it’s time to accelerate that momentum to collectively vision, mobilize and align advocates so that all artists and cultural entities can thrive. Led by Colorado Business Committee for the Arts (CBCA) with grassroots tools like the Colorado Arts Action Network, it’s time to be proactive and take it to the next level.

What do we want as a cultural ecosystem?

Join us on Monday, November 18 at 12 noon for the unveiling of Colorado’s Arts Policy Framework!

People at tables in makerspace listening to facilitatorColorado’s Arts Policy Framework is a compilation of diverse perspectives on the value and potential of our state’s creative sector. CBCA led the development of this Framework and will steward its implementation going forward. With assistance from Empowered Consulting, over 800 arts advocates and creative workers were consulted through surveys, interviews, focus groups, committees and community engagement. Input was synthesized to create a coordinated, intentional and inclusive advocacy voice and roadmap. Colorado’s Arts Policy Framework will directly inform CBCA’s near-term legislative agenda, as well as catalyze collective advocacy, expand cross-sector partners and inspire local policy initiatives.
