ArtsConnect: “Held Impermanence” at Clyfford Still Museum

CBCA Members and their employees are invited to request up to two (2) complimentary tickets to enjoy the latest exhibit at the Clyfford Still Museum on Saturday, August 16 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Attendees can also get 10% off at the museum gift shop that afternoon.

Home to one of the world’s most intact public collections of any major artist, the Clyfford Still Museum offers nine beautiful galleries of Still’s art, historic photos, objects and letters from the Clyfford Still Archives, interactive features, tranquil outdoor terraces, views into storage and conservation areas, a hands-on art creation studio, shopping, exciting programs and events, and more. The Clyfford Still Museum is located in the heart of Denver’s Golden Triangle Creative District.

Katherine Simóne Reynolds’s guest-curated exhibition, Held Impermanence, draws deeply upon the collections and archives of the Clyfford Still Museum. In the six largest galleries, Reynolds illuminates multiple competing desires held in constant tension within the Museum. The collection testifies to Still’s ambitious attempt to keep his entire corpus intact. The commitment to the integrity of that body of work allows viewers to see not only the acclaimed masterpieces but also paintings made in painful transitions and others that bear the scars of time.
