Summary

Leadership Arts is a nine-month training program that prepares people to serve on nonprofit boards of directors and increase their civic engagement in the arts. The Leadership Arts curriculum focuses on building the necessary skills to be an effective volunteer leader and exploring relevant topics to Colorado’s arts sector.

We are seeking a diverse cohort that reflects our community and welcomes a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds.

TIME COMMITMENT AND EXPECTATIONS

There are 12 sessions that will occur on the second and/or fourth Wednesday of the month from 1:00 – 5:00 pm, followed by an optional, informal happy hour. All sessions will be hosted in-person at various cultural venues across the seven-county Denver metro area and will feature expert speakers, engagement activities and networking opportunities.

Schedule is subject to change and adapt to support health and safety. In-person sessions will not be recorded and cannot be accessed remotely. Participants are expected to make every effort to attend all program sessions.

PROGRAM FEES

Tuition fees depend on CBCA Membership.

Tuition is $1,850 for CBCA Members and their employees. If three CBCA Member employees enroll, tuition is reduced to $1,600 per person.  Non-member tuition fees are $2,350.

Early bird applications received by end-of-day on July 15 can get 10% off their tuition.

Tuition covers all associated program costs, including speaker fees and creative activities. CBCA offers flexible payment plans. Tuition is non-refundable once remitted and enrollment in Leadership Arts is non-transferable.

There is a non-refundable $30 application fee due by August 12, 2022.

SCHOLARSHIPS

The Deborah Jordy Leadership Arts Scholarship Fund provides a limited number of full and partial scholarships every year. Preference is given to applicants from historically marginalized communities.
