Navigating Legal Issues for Visual Artists

Two people stand closely together, facing a colorful, abstract mosaic artwork made of small squares hanging on a gray wall. One wears a red sweater, the other a white jacket and blue cap.

Join us at Foothills Art Center – Creative Campus for the insightful workshop, Navigating Legal Issues for Visual Artists.

This workshop will focus on common legal issues that visual artists encounter as creators and entrepreneurs. It will focus on the basics of intellectual property law such as copyright protection, common questions regarding contracts and various business entities for creative endeavors. Whether you’re a professional painter or a hobby ceramist, these legal issues impact you and your creative work. Bring your questions for this interactive discussion!

This workshop is presented in partnership with Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA) and led by Dave Ratner with Creative Law Network.
