LAAN Art Club: Stories on Stage

Art can spur conversations and spark insights. Art enables us to see reflections of our society and humanity. To build empathy and understanding. To have challenging discussions and see new perspectives.

The Leadership Arts Alumni Network invites you to participate in our first “art club” event on Thursday, October 29 at 12 noon. Similar to a “book club,” we will have a shared arts experience related to themes of diversity, equity and inclusion, and then participate in a facilitated conversation to share reactions and reflections.

Leadership Arts alumni are encouraged to watch Stories on Stage’s virtual performance of Don’t Look Away – Black Stories Matter on Friday, October 23 at 7:00 pm, featuring Betty Hart, Cajardo Lindsey and Jada Suzanne Dixon reading stories from Reggie Rivers, Claudia Rankine and local authors. Use promo code “CBCA” to get a discounted ticket through Stories on Stage directly. We’ll also share a couple of the literary excerpts in advance if you are unable to watch the performance. Everyone is invited to participate in the follow-up virtual discussion on Thursday, October 29 at 12 noon, facilitated by Creative Strategies for Change.
