ArtsConnect: Dress Rehearsal of Mudra Dance Studio World Premiere

A group of dancers in red and gold costumes perform energetically on stage, spinning with raised arms, while musicians in matching attire play large drums and percussion instruments against a purple-lit background.

CBCA Members and their employees are invited to request up to two (2) complimentary tickets to experience “Adyananta,” a world premiere original Indian dance performance by Mudra Dance Studio at the Lakewood Cultural Center on Wednesday, August 20 at 7:30 pm. Be among the first to experience the world premiere of “Adyananta!” This high-energy, emotional journey in the style that Mudra is known for is entirely new and features breakthrough choreography, beautiful costumes from India, and original, commissioned music performed live. Join Mudra Dance Studio’s company of 25 artists and consider how we embrace our shared rhythms of endings in Mudra’s 9th full production show. Learn more about the original choreography and music.

“Adyananta” celebrates Indian culture rooted in the North-Indian classical dance tradition of Kathak, infused with Mudra’s contemporary and blended influences, including Bharatnatyum, Tango, West African, Samba, and Jazz. This amalgamation reflects a core value of inclusiveness that is wholly unique to the studio. The audience can expect to be taken on an energetic and rhythmic journey of joy, reflection, challenges, and transformation.
