CAFTA 10 Year Anniversary Party
Join us in celebrating a decade of legal assistance for Colorado’s arts, culture and creative community!
This 10 Year Anniversary Party is an opportunity to thank the many partners who have been part of Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA)’s journey – from volunteer attorneys and large law firms, to artists, performers and cultural organizations. Together, we will celebrate CAFTA’s future with food, drinks, entertainment, art and community.
This reception is also part of the National Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts annual conference, which CBCA is hosting in Denver this year.
About CAFTA
CBCA launched Colorado Attorneys for the Arts (CAFTA) in fall 2015 as a way to connect artists and creative entities with vital legal services to help grow, protect and sustain their work. Thanks to dedicated volunteer attorneys and cultural partners, CAFTA continues to have a tremendous impact across Colorado.
Over the past 10 years, CAFTA has:
- Made over 375 pro bono legal referrals in the arts
- Served over 2,800 Coloradans through educational presentations and webinars
- Engaged dozens of volunteer attorneys, including the 120+ volunteers currently registered with CAFTA
- Presented workshops across the state from Telluride to Greeley, Pueblo to Steamboat Springs
We hope you’ll join us to celebrate this 10-year anniversary milestone!

Dance of Resistance
Dance of Resistance features artists who voice the stories of their communities through figural works of art, exploring histories and offering pathways to healing and empowerment. Each artist has an artistic practice rooted in their LGBTQ+ identity. Approaching their work from unique viewpoints, they employ varied media to present themes from lived experience and imagined futures. These works primarily include figural depictions, placing a queer bodily presence firmly in the spotlight.
