ArtsConnect: Mendelssohn’s Octet with Colorado Symphony

Two performers with the Coloarado Symphony playing cello

CBCA Members are invited to join us for Northglenn Arts Presents Mendelssohn’s Octet performed by members of the Colorado Symphony. CBCA Members and their employees are invited to request two complimentary tickets to this performance in the new Parsons Theatre.

The String Octet in E-flat major, Op. 20, was written by the 16-year-old Felix Mendelssohn during the fall of 1825. Written for four violins, two violas and two cellos, this work created a new chamber music genre. Conrad Wilson summarizes: “Its youthful verve, brilliance and perfection make it one of the miracles of nineteenth-century music.” For more information, please visit northglennarts.org
