ArtsConnect: The Aurorian presents “A Mad Chance” with jk-co dance company

In jk-co’s newest premier, The Aurorian presents “A Mad Chance” investigates the life of gigging artists through the lens of Vaudevillian sketch theatre. Through interactive activities and immersion into the show, the audience will ask themselves if art is imitating life or are they a part of the show.  jk-co peels back the layers to expose the deeply emotional inquiry that art is only worth what someone will pay and enforce the necessity for a strong arts infrastructure.

jk-co’s mission is to make everyone feel like they can be a part of art. jk-co is devoted to finding the humanity and virtuosity of dance. They strive to make concert dance accessible to diverse audiences and cultivate an inclusive environment.  By rooting their choreographic process in “what connects us,” jk-co opens the dialogue for universal commonalties and shared experiences to guide our movement narratives.
