Celebrating Arts & Business Partnerships
CBCA is seeking nominations for its 2018 Business for the Arts Awards, which celebrate innovative partnerships, generous philanthropy, creative businesses and outstanding leadership.
Submit your nominations by Friday, November 10, 2017. Self-nominations are accepted and encouraged. An independent panel of judges will select a cohort of Business for the Arts Awards honorees, as well as one John Madden, Jr. Leadership Award and one EY Next Wave Leadership Award. All honorees will be announced in December, 2017.
- Business for the Arts Awards honorees are companies that have gone above and beyond to support the arts and creative industries through innovative partnerships, arts integration, creative workplaces, economic development in the creative sector, arts advocacy, employee engagement, and/or philanthropy. These initiatives advance our cultural vitality and are outside the company’s day-to-day mission or business.
- EY Next Wave Leadership Award honors an emerging or rising professional who is leading the future of our cultural community through their volunteerism, philanthropy, innovative partnerships, and/or arts advocacy.
- John Madden, Jr. Leadership Award is named for CBCA’s founding chairman and recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to advancing arts and culture in Colorado. This lifetime achievement award recognizes extraordinary leadership and a legacy of support for the arts.
CBCA will celebrate the honorees at its annual Business for the Arts Awards Luncheon, the only statewide event honoring companies and individuals for their outstanding partnerships and engagement with the arts. The 2018 Awards Luncheon will be held on Tuesday, March 13 at the Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Performing Arts Complex. Over 700 corporate, cultural and civic leaders attend this inspiring event.
