Dare to be different… at the Dikeou. Join us at this private contemporary art collection nestled in the midst of downtown Denver. Featuring work by over 30 international artists including Dan Asher, Lucky DeBellevue, Sebastiaan Bremer and Vik Muniz, with an unabashedly unafraid approach, this gallery is not be missed. Enjoy the final event of the 2016 LAAN series with one-of-a-kind cocktails and unique bites as we experience some of the most interesting and extraordinary contemporary art.
Operating as an extension of New York publication, zingmagazine, the Dikeou Collection features work of over 30 international artists. Devon Dikeou is an artist herself, the founder, editor, and publisher of zingmagazine, as well as a collector. Her interest in the platform of exchange between collector, artist, viewing context museum, collection, gallery, magazine, and viewer engendered her artistic practice, zingmagazine, and the formation of the Dikeou Collection.

- February 3 - Don’t be late, for your date with the “Fashion of Alice” hosted at the Colorado Ballet. There may even be some “mad hattery” madness to post on social media.
- May 17 - Our first culinary event is brought to you by the colors Black and White. The chefs at Footers Catering will create in only those contrasts. What should you wear to such an affair? Why black or white, of course.
- July 26 - Summer rooftop at the museum residences. Rinse, Repeat. Join us for this popular annual event with artistic surprises.
- November 2 - Dare to be different at The Dikeou Collection – extraordinary contemporary in the heart of downtown Denver.
Cultural Leadership Award
The Cultural Leadership Award recognizes outstanding alumni of CBCA’s Leadership Arts program who have made a significant impact on arts & culture in Colorado through a personal commitment to the arts.
2016 Cultural Leadership Award Recipients
Christin Crampton Day (Leadership Arts 1997-1998) – Christin participated in one of the earliest Leadership Arts classes and has been serving the arts community ever since. She served on the Board of the Colorado Ballet for 13 years, stewarding growth for the organization during her tenure. In 2011, she was recruited to be Executive Director of Ballet Nouveau Colorado before their transition to Wonderbound. Her philanthropy and volunteer leadership expands to Denver School for the Arts, Denver Art Museum’s Salon D’Arts/Salon du Musee, Metro Denver Sports Commission, and Denver Metro Chamber Foundation. Professionally, Christin is Senior Director of Public Relations at Barnhart Communications.
Carol Wolf (Leadership Arts 2007-2008) – Carol served on the Board of Curious Theatre Company for a decade (2005-2015). She has been instrumental in several milestones for Curious, including making “lead gifts” for the purchase of their building in the Golden Triangle and recent capital improvements. She is a model board member, inspiring others to support the organization and serving in a variety of leadership positions. Carol is currently on the Board of Trustees for the Academy of Chinese Culture and Martial Arts and the Women’s Foundation of Colorado. Carol retired from OppenheimerFunds three years ago.
The recipients were honored at the annual CBCA Leadership Arts Board Fair and Graduation Luncheon on Wednesday, May 4 at the Lakewood Cultural Center and received a CBCA PrintFolio. The luncheon is an invite-only event.
All Leadership Arts alumni are invited to continue their experience by taking a Refresher Session and engaging with the current class and speakers.

All alumni are encouraged to refresh what they’ve learned by participating in the current Leadership Arts sessions. We’re constantly adding new activities, topics and expert speakers.
