Behind the Scenes takes CBCA Patron Members inside cultural organizations, projects and facilities. These events have included tours of local art collections, cultural facilities under construction, glass blowing, alternative films and even a live recording session.

“I thought the Behind the Scenes event at the Chalk Art Festival was wonderful! It was so interesting to hear about the history of chalk art, and the festival and to see the beautiful art. And what an added bonus to hear from the Cirque du Soleil representative regarding their organization AND the way they support their host cities while they are on tour. I haven’t spent a better Sunday morning in a long, long time! I’m so thankful that my company supports CBCA!”

“Thank you for the opportunity to see the Chihuly exhibit at the Denver Botanic Gardens. I used the tickets provided to enjoy a wonderful mother-daughter date that I’m sure Emily and I will remember for many years to come. My daughter and I also had a conversation about the importance of sharing art and making it accessible to the community. She was so thrilled to see work in person that she’d studied previously in school, and I think it also showed her that art IS valued and important.”

“The tour last night [of the Molly Brown House Museum] increased our appreciation for the Mile-High city.  It also permitted me to enjoy the night out with other co-workers.”

“Thanks, so much, for the opportunity to attend the dress rehearsal of the ‘Magic Flute.’ From the introduction in the lobby, to the preparation for the performance itself, the experience was amazing!  Not only did we get to see a first-class production of Mozart’s last opera, but we gained a true appreciation for the effort that goes into preparing for and staging a production of that magnitude.  Truly incredible!”

“The pre-opening event at RedLine made me feel special as a CBCA member. I very much appreciate and value these types of opportunities to get behind the scenes of cultural events taking place in my community.”

“It’s wonderful to take a step away from the professional world and appreciate all the creative things going on in our great city.  The behind-the-scenes tour of the Molly Brown mansion highlighted a local gem and the great people who are keeping the history of our city alive.”

“Attending the CBCA’s Behind the Scenes at Lighthouse Writers Workshop was a highlight of my week. I enjoyed touring the historic Milheim House and learning about its journey, as well as getting an inside look at the vibrant literary scene in Denver. The readings were exquisite and the people were friendly and passionate.”

“It was exciting to be one of the first in Denver to experience the museum’s new Morgridge Family Exploration Center, as well as to have a rare opportunity to see the new behind-the-scenes work areas.”
