To nominate a company or individual for the 2012 CBCA Business for the Arts Awards, use the simple nomination form here. The deadline for award nomination is Friday, November 11, 2011, 5pm. CBCA will then contact the nominees who will be asked to complete a short application. A panel of judges will review the nominations and selected finalists in each category will be announced in January 2011. Winners will be announced at the CBCA Business for the Arts Awards luncheon on Thursday, March 17, 2011.


All companies doing business in Colorado are eligible for these awards. Nominations must be for programs or activities that take place in Colorado. Nonprofit cultural organizations are not eligible.

Evaluation Criteria

Judges evaluate the nominees on:

• The quality and extent of the business/arts partnership or engagement

• Innovation and creativity of the partnership or engagement

• The effect on

- the company and their employees

- cultural organization(s) and/or project(s)

- community vitality and opportunity

• The level and type of support relative to business size and capacity



Highlights innovative use of the arts to propel business success, programs that engage employees with creativity and other community activities that support arts and business partnerships

John Madden, Jr. Leadership Award

Recognizes a business sector individual who has made significant contributions to advancing arts and culture in Colorado


Honors exemplary corporate citizenship and generosity to arts and cultural projects and organizations


Pays tribute to an exceptional work environment that advances business objectives
