Prior to joining CBCA, Deborah served as Executive Director of the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities. She also led the Cherokee Ranch and Castle Foundation and served as associate curator for the Denver Art Museum. Deborah sits on the Executive Committee of the Board Directors for the Governor’s Residence Preservation Fund, the Board of Directors of Arts for Colorado, chairs Americans for the Arts Private Sector Council and co-chairs the Create Denver Advisory Committee. A former Commissioner on Cultural Affairs for the City of Denver and Board Member of the Colorado Nonprofit Association and the Stapleton Public Art Advisory Committee, she has been recognized by the SCFD. In 2011, Deborah was named to the national Board of Directors of Americans for the Arts.
Deanne Gertner, Program & Communications Manager

Deanne joined CBCA in 2007 as an intern, became the Administrative and Program Assistant in 2008, and assumed the role of Program & Communications Manager in 2012. She graduated from Regis University with a degree in English Literature and minor in Fine Arts. Deanne has a background sculpture and is currently on her way to earning an MFA in Creative Writing from the Vermont College of Fine Art. She has volunteered at the Metropolitan State Center for Visual Art as a gallery assistant and is currently serving as Collects Co-Chair for CultureHaus, a support group of the Denver Art Museum. Deanne believes that the arts are a vital aspect of Denver’s community and is proud to be a part of an organization that highlights the impact of business/art partnerships.
